    Siempre había entendido que las luces de cruce y largas debían ser del mismo color.
    En el vídeo unas son amarillas y las otras blancas.

    Siempre había entendido que las luces de cruce y largas debían ser del mismo color.
    En el vídeo unas son amarillas y las otras blancas.

    cierto, tal vez en inglaterra tengan normas diferentes, tambien es posible que este no sea legal
    la gente hace cosas raras,

    aqui hasta un determinado año que no recuerdo se permiten que sean amarillas, y es cierto que si era correcto, se pedia que todas fueran el denominado amarillo auto,


    de hecho yo tuve una movida en la itv, pero el informe de historico lo ponia bien claro y eso me salvo, por eso hablo de las excepciones

    a esto me refiero,

    yo llevo driving lights en amarillo auto, de hecho es la bombilla no el cristal lo que es amarillo

    pues bien, el informe tecnico, basandose en el RD que comentaba, asi lo recogia, y el informe estaba aprobado por industria, con lo que quedaba rspaldado, pero el de la itv traspapelo una fotocopia del informe, y me viene a decir que tengo que quitarlas, ....un sudor frio,....bueno, menos mal que yo me habia leido el informe, asi que se lo dije, logicamente me contesto que el informe no lo ponia, yo le dije que lo habia leido, asi que algo fallaba,....y claro le faltaba una hoja del informe, cuando se dio cuenta del error no creas que se disculpo, no, ....pero bueno, ahi estan....

    no era una punta caja de luces, no, era un salvavidas en poliestireno, con correa principal (bomba agua y alternador), platinos, rotor de delco, bujias y tapa de delco, y una pipa de bujia,....superalo, no te digo que me lo iguales, superalo !!!

    ayer en control en rotonda acechando para documentacion o, dos tres vehiculos, muchos eran, variadas edades y generos, que si numero que si matricula, que si que modelo es que a la base no le sale, que si,...
    ...y empezo la cosa, jexuxmariatajoxe, de que año, como esta, y demas phlores, ....valgamedios, me quede de piedra, los chicos, ya alguno señor de mi edad, y las chicas, todos amabilisimos, una delicia,
    ...nunca me habia pasado, sonrojeme y todo
    hombre los papeles llevo todos en regla, pero ya digo,...muy majos,
    yo siempre los he pillado profesionales, en lo suyo impecables, pero del coche hasta ahora ni pio
    que sorpresa !

    deben ser los 50,...

    Habrá que pasarse a Mercedes, Porsche... o algún muscle... un Camaro SS del '67 me podría molar como tractor...

    Ni de coña (lo del muscle):muro: (bueno si me tocan dos o tres loterías... vale)

    Pero es una pena el poco cariño... voy a tener que dar un toque a Susanne... que esta filosofía no mola... :D

    al partir de l uno de juli todo lo que compres fuera desde valor 1€ estara sujeto a iva y si mas de 150€ sujeto a tasas

    se acabo lo de declara por debajo de 22€ para que cuele

    Save the world, Drive a Classic Car
    The pictured badge seems strictly ironic and we are quite sure that was the basic idea originally, but there is more truth in it than you may think.

    Should we feel guilty about driving our poison gas spitting machines in a time that the arctic areas are filling the oceans to the rim, while the tropics move north and the world is desperately looking into #mobility-concepts for the next generation? Should we slowly say farewell to the fun of archaic machinery, park our stuff in automotive mausoleums and move on to the world of tomorrow?

    Perhaps we better wake up, pull our head out of the sand, turn around the perspective and start feeling proud being the caretakers of automobiles that – at least with respect to #sustainability – have the smallest #eco-footprint one can imagine. Yes, the exhaust fumes are a little setback, but there are solutions for that. Very simple yet radical solutions for the near future, and slightly more complex ones for a bit further down the road.

    We need to choose from either of these options. If we just lean back and think that time will learn, then time will learn us a bitter lesson. If we are careless, we will be car-less. If you think you can keep the #environment out of the hobby you should realize that it is already in here much longer than you think. The use of lead in petrol was banned in the mid nineties and was gone altogether in 2000. In order to make your antique engine survive you have been using lead substitute nearly twenty years. So…

    Yes, instead of submerging in a defensive role and instead of closing our ears for the subject , we should step forward with solid, clean arguments and be examples to the world. Yet being a fine example instead of a littering crook doesn’t come easy as well. We need to make sacrifices. Something what is hard to copy with a modern car preferably. Following the 2015 #UNFCCC-Paris-agreement carbon dioxide production should be 30% down in 2020 and 50% in 2030. Very hard to realize with modern cars. But very easy – yet a bit painful - to realize with our vintage cars. How? As we don’t need our motorcars on a daily basis we only need to bring down our use of petrol with respectively 30 and 50 %.

    I like to start a group of people who openly state what their average hobby fuel consumption over the last three years was. No matter if you were using 5000 litre (for a Napier #Bentley driver, or a long distance rally afficionado) or 80 litre per year (BMW Isetta). A percentage in reduction is equally painful and equally effective to both. My personal hobby petrol average has been 1000 litre over the last three years. So I have decided to reduce consumption in 2019 with 15% , and in 2020 I will not use more than 700 litres. In that way we are equal with ‘Paris’. (Who is to join in with this 'petrol reduction group'? Don’t be shy.

    As said - aside #petrol consumption and bad fumes - our cars are the finest examples of sustainability and have Micky Mouse like eco footprints. When you’re at home in the subject you may know that the production of a new car equals with 3 years of driving a modern car. The amount of carbon dioxide involved with mining ore, the transport of raw materials to factories, building facilities, commuting workers and the transport of new cars to distributors and so on and so on is massive. On the other hand , our classic and even better vintage cars were produced in a time when raw materials came from relatively nearby, when factories were nearby and workers came on foot. So the production footprint of our cars is not only long forgotten but it was very much smaller as well.

    Then after let’s say a 15 year life cycle one needs to scrap and recycle these ugly modern machines, which is a good thing. By the way, did you know that #HenryFord was recycling cars already in the late twenties? There are photos from the US showing a huge parking lot outside Detroit with hundreds of cars waiting to be scrapped for their metals. #Recycling is good, but once more there are considerable amounts of carbon dioxide involved, whereas our cars don’t need to be recycled.

    While I am reducing my petrol intake, I keep hoping that some of the ingenious engineers in our hobby have started thinking about alternatives for petrol in our cars. My personal view is that #liquified-hydrogen is the best bet for a more distant future. There must be a way to use this in a nearly similar way as #LPG with a subtle and thin brass feed of hydrogen & oxygen behind the carb in the intake manifold. Or?

    Lacking a racing green vintage Bentley like in the badge, I wouldn’t mind converting my Amilcar or Model T to the use of fluid hydrogen, unless the engine bay would start looking like my kitchen sink plumbing. Still I would have a light preference for using the Model T. Why? My 1924 Touring has – as from factory – black wings with the body tub in green.

    un par de historias muy majas sobre encontrar bmws, y con final feliz,...

    This story starts around six years ago when my mother told me about an E30 a friend of a friend of hers knew about sitting in a shed at the other end of the island 300km away, (where I've just moved to). She couldn't tell me much about the car other than it was white and looked ok from what her friend had said.

    Around six months ago the conversation turned to cars with my mother and I asked if she knew what ever happened to the car (whatever model it was) as I was curious. True to form my mother couldn't remember as she'd placed no importance on a conversation about an old BMW six years ago - some people hey?

    Anyway, yesterday I had to chair a community meeting for work with some less than happy ratepayers. At the end of the meeting and older woman came up to me and said 'I need to talk to you.' Thinking I was going to get more of an ear bashing I tried to bolt for the door. The lady added, 'oh this isn't about work, this is personal. Don't worry about them.' Perplexed I asked how I could help. The lady asked who my mother was and if I still liked BMW's? 'Yes. Very much' I replied.

    Turned out this was the owner of the mystery white E30 from six years ago. Her and her husband were down sizing and wanted to offload a heap of stuff including the car.

    Lola and I drove out this morning. Arriving at the house (waterfront mansion) I knew this wasn't your usual barn find situation.Turns out the car is a 1989 318is (the baby M3) and highly desirable.

    The car had been parked up for years in their garage with antiques, books and all manner of things piled around it.
    Strangely they had kept paying the registration. Car has a small dent in one rear panel that will pop out but still wears all its original paint and the interior is immaculate.

    As always the question turned to price. 'Now I know you know your BMW's as I've seen you on that video.' 'Oh no' I thought this is going to hurt as I'm bleeding cash finishing house renovations and will miss this car again.

    'I want $2500 as have just renewed the registration. I know I could get more, it's not about money, it needs to go to a good home and be loved.'

    Car fired straight up and on account of being registered we drove in convoy the 10km back to my house.

    It's now in my garage next to the CS. Promised to take it back when it's tidied up. Bargain I reckon.

    la segunda no tiene fotos, pero es muy sorprendente,


    this happened 35 years ago. Two young children, new house, college teacher's salary....
    Doctor's widow finally selling her Sahara 2800CS e9. New Jersey mandated seat belts, she said screw you Garden State. Had a couple of offers but we shared the same mechanic and that clinched the deal for me. I was driving an early Bavaria at the time. I offered the most I could and she said yes!

    But the story does not quite end there. It was a Friday, we were going on vacation for two weeks. When we returned I called. Her son answered, I identified myself, and he said you don't know what happened. "The night mother sold you the car she died in her sleep. The title reads G. Gibson, I am George Gibson, she was Gladys. I will meet you at the title place and we will do the sale."
