Por supuesto Gus, ya postee en este hilo hace unos meses, me referia a que habia pasado desapercibido en el salon de Frankfurt, ya que todo el protagonismo se lo llevo el i8, logicamente.

Spy Photos: F46 BMW Active Tourer

Just days before the debut of the BMW Concept Active Tourer Outdoor at the 2013 Frankfurt Auto Show, a prototype of the production model was spied during a testing session.

The F46 1 Series GT will be offered with a five or seven seating configuration and it will based on the new UKL front-wheel drive platform. The increased length will offer additional rear space for passengers.

The BMW 1 Series GT will compete against the Mercedes-Benz B-Class which recently halted development of a long-wheelbase version of the second-generation B-class.

Under the hood, the BMW 1 Series Gran Turismo will be powered by three and four-cylinder turbo engines and will sport the new front-wheel drive platform architecture. A Hybrid and xDrive version will be offered as well. Similar powerplants will also be used in the next generation of MINI vehicles.

The new small petrol engine shares its 500cc individual cylinder capacity and other key elements with BMW’s classic 3.0-litre straight six petrol unit.

Optionally, an all-wheel drive setup will be offered as well. for almost all UKL-based models.

First model will debut in 2014.
