In the world of McLaren F1s, few are as recognisable or jaw-dropping as the F1 GTR that resides in London and was customised by French artist César over 18 years ago.

Rather incredibly, this McLaren F1 GTR competed in the 24 Hours of Le Mans in 1994 and is now completely street-legal complete with indicators. What’s more, with ‘standard’ McLaren F1s selling for over $10 million, it is absolutely incredible to see the owner of this F1 GTR taking it out on the street and not locking it away in a garage!

Con los pocos que hay es dificil ver uno, pues ahora han visto otro que dicen que es el primero que se hizo, tambien en UK, en un pub de Chertsey, asustando con sus rugidos a esta señora

Road-legal McLaren F1 GTR Longtail looks spectacular
First one ever made
A rare road-legal McLaren F1 GTR Longtail was filmed and photographed near a pub in Chertsey, UK.

McLaren built only 106 units of its iconic F1 supercar and only 28 of them were developed for racing in the FIA GT series or at Le Mans. Of those 28 cars, only 10 of them were built in the Longtail specification and now one of them has been spotted in United Kingdom. We did a little bit of digging and managed to find out it's actually the first F1 GTR Longtail built and has the 19R chassis. It is the same car which was driven at last year's Goodwood Festival of Speed and belongs to a UK owner.

The car was manufactured before the 1997 racing season and initially was only used for promotional purposes before being raced in August 1997 by Japanese Team LARK. It came back on the track in 1999 and continued to race until the 2005 season before being sold to someone in United States. The current owner from UK restored the original paint scheme and converted it for road use.
