Nissan GT-R NISMO v Tesla Model X: DRAG RACE 27 abr 2022 carwow It’s time for a vs drag race! We’ve got Mat in the all-electric Tesla Model X, and he’s going up against one of Japan’s hottest, most powerful exports - the Nissan GT-R NISMO! It may be a wet day on track, but this should still be an explosive drag race! So let’s see how they compare… The Model X comes equipped with two electric motors, which combine to put down an awesome 670hp & 970Nm of torque. It needs all that power, though, as this is one heavy EV, tipping the scales at 2,572kg! On the other hand, the NISMO is much lighter, weighing in at 1,700kg. It’s a bit down on power, though, with its 3.8-litre twin-turbo V6 producing 600hp & 650Nm of torque.
BMW M2 v Bentley GT v Jeep Trackhawk v Audi RS5: DRAG RACE 6 jul 2022 carwow Jeep vs BMW vs Bentley vs Audi… Now it may sound strange, but we think you’ll be surprised how closely matched these contenders are! Let’s check out the stats… Starting with the Jeep, it’s powered by a 6.2-litre supercharged V8 that can deliver 707hp and 875Nm of torque. As you’d expect, it’s super heavy though, tipping the scales at 2,433kg! Interestingly, the Bentley Continental GT Speed Convertible has an almost identical weight, although its 6-litre twin-turbo W12 can ‘only’ put down 660hp & 900Nm of torque. Alongside the Bentley, we have an RS5, which is powered by a 2.9-litre twin-turbo V6 that’s good for 450hp & 600Nm. It’s a whole lot lighter than the Jeep and Bentley, though, weighing in at 1,742kg. And then finally we have the lightest car here, the BMW M2 Competition. It tips the scales at 1,575kg, and its 3-litre twin-turbo straight-six can deliver 410hp & 550Nm. Hummer H2 v Suzuki Jimny: OFF-ROAD! 7 jul 2022 carwow It’s time for a David vs Goliath off-road battle! Mat’s lining up for the first challenge in the little Suzuki Jimny, and he’s lining up against a huge Hummer H2! Now we’re sure we don’t need to tell you, but the stats on these two cars are vastly different. Starting with the Jimny, it’s housing a 1.5-litre petrol engine under the bonnet that can deliver 101hp & 130Nm of torque. Thankfully, it does come equipped with low-range mode, and it’s also pretty light, weighing in at just 1,100kg. It’ll come as no surprise that the Hummer weighs a whole lot more, tipping the scales at over 3,000kg! But then again, it’s also packing a pretty big engine, with a 6.2-litre naturally-aspirated V8 under the bonnet that’s good for 393hp and 563Nm. Just like the Jimny, it has a low-range mode, but it also comes with a rear-locking differential as well as mud-terrain tyres! So what do you think, will the mighty Hummer take down the Jimny? Lamborghini Aventador SVJ v 585hp Kia EV6 GT: DRAG RACE 3 dic 2022 This is definitely a petrol vs electric drag race you weren’t expecting to see today! We’ve got Mark McCann in his Lamborghini Aventador SVJ, and he’s lining up against Mat in a Kia EV6! This is no normal EV6, though, it’s the EV6 GT! As a result, this EV is equipped with two electric motors that can produce an incredible 585hp and 740Nm of torque! It’s pretty heavy though, with its 77kWh battery pack helping it tip the scales at 2,125kg! However, it’s still relatively cheap, coming in at £63,000. As for the Lambo, well it’s a whole lot more expensive, costing around £380,000! Naturally, though, it’s packed full of power, with its 6.5-litre V12 good for 770hp and 720Nm. It’s much lighter than the Kia, too, coming in at 1,525kg. Think it’ll be a walkover for the Lambo? Well, perhaps Mat has a trick up his sleeve! 3,000hp SUV vs Ferrari SF90: DRAG RACE 15 abr 2023 We’ve got our hands on a collection of Nissan Patrols, each with a different level of tune, and we’re about to put them head-to-head against each other over the 1/4-mile to see just how much their performance varies! We’re kicking things off with a standard Nissan Patrol, with a 4.8-litre straight-six that can put down 280hp and 420Nm of torque. We’ve then got a Patrol with the same engine with a turbo added, with the power output subsequently upped to 380hp and 580Nm of torque. But that’s not all! We’ve then got another Patrol that has had an even more severe tune, and the power output has been increased to an incredible 1,200hp and 1,600Nm! But that’s nothing compared to the most powerful Patrol we’ve got our hands on - it’s a Patrol that comes with the chassis of an R35 Nissan GT-R! As a result, it comes with the same 3.8-litre twin-turbo V6 that has had some serious mods done to it, and it now creates an eye-watering 3,000hp and 3,500Nm of torque!! Oh, and of course, we had to find some suitable competition for these beasts, so we’ve thrown a Ferrari SF90 into the mix, too… So what are you waiting for?! F1 Car vs World's FASTEST Hypercars: DRAG RACE 5 ago 2023 Get ready for the most exciting drag race in carwow history! We’ve got the World Championship-winning Red Bull RB8 going up against the 1,914hp Rimac Nevera and the Goodwood Hillclimb record-holding McMurtry Spéirling! So let’s see how these marvellous machines compare. Starting with the Rimac, it’s equipped with four electric motors that can produce an eye-watering 1,914hp and 2,360Nm of torque. It’s packing a 120kWh battery pack, so as a result it’s pretty heavy, tipping the scales at around 2,300kg. And as you can imagine, all of that power doesn’t come cheap, with the Nevera costing around £2,000,000! Alongside it we have the McMurtry. This single-seater EV is a whole lot lighter than the Rimac, weighing in at just 1,000kg. It’s also equipped with two electric motors that produce around 1,000hp, while also packing an incredible fan system that helps to generate 2,000kg of downforce! As a result, it can shoot off from the line like nothing you’ve ever seen before! But there’s a catch - it’s limited to a top speed of only 150mph... Then finally we have the F1 car, driven by Red Bull’s reserve driver, Liam Lawson. He’s driving Sebastian Vettel’s Championship-winning RB8, which is equipped with a 2.4-litre V8 that can produce 800hp. It’s easily the lightest car here, at around 700kg, and all power is sent to the rear wheels only. So it’s an absolutely incredible line-up, but will electric power triumph?! Bugatti Chiron Super Sport v Model S Plaid Track Pack: DRAG RACE 16 sept 2023 THE DAY HAS FINALLY ARRIVED! We’ve got our hands on the almighty Bugatti Chiron Super Sport, and it’s facing off against the incredible Tesla Model S Plaid Track Pack! So let’s see how these two rockets compare. Starting with the Bugatti, it’s powered by an incredible 8-litre quad-turbo W16 that pumps out 1,600hp and 1,600Nm of torque. It sends power to all four wheels via a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox, and it tips the scales at 1,995kg. There have only been 30 ever built, so as a result, it’s pretty expensive, costing around £4,000,000!! Then we have the Tesla. It’s equipped with three electric motors, and they combine to produce 1,020hp and 1,420Nm of torque. It has four-wheel drive, and it weighs in at 2,190kg.
