A ver, que me voy a comer. ;-) Ahí te va eso, y luego a la tarde si eso le echo un ojo. Por lo que veo el conector lleva cuatro pines y van como te pongo, además te va el pineout completo del HK. Suerte. Finally figured it out! You know what, I've been trying to figure this out for years. Maybe every 6 months or so I perform a search to see if I could find anything. Back in 2002, I had changed out my stereo, but always wanted to reuse this button as a trigger in the trunk. Per this page PIN 15 Yellow/Black in the trunk is active when the HK Spatial button is turned on. I don't know what the voltage is, probably low, but a low voltage trigger can always be used. Based on Cazz stating that Brown is Ground, and extrapolating from the numerous wiring diagrams for the radio and amp floating around the net, I'm ASSUMING the following pin configuration: brown - GROUND violet/white - 12 volt switched (Head Unit power line) yellow/black - TRIGGER grey/red - illumination Again, I'm just extrapolating based on the wiring in the trunk. It should be easy enough to verify w/ a multimeter. E46 Audio Information - This is a god-send. It took me over a week of hands-on work to compile this list and information. I hope it serves some use to others as I would have killed to have this when I was working on my system. Here goes .. The setup is (on an E46 4 door with non-HK) - Left and Right 1.5" Tweeters in the doorframe, on the inside of the car pretty much next to your mirrors. Left and Right 3.5" Mid-Range centered in the middle of the doorpanel Left and Right .. now this gets weird. They are 120mm speakers which is roughly 6.7", and they are 3 screw'd with weird angles, so your option is to custom fit the panel or do what I did. Buy 5.25" speakers and clip out the plastic ring that held the original speaker in and secure it that way, it fits the whole speaker perfectly in the ring that was to hold the stock speakers in. Left and Right 1.5" rear tweeters right behind each front seat, in the rear doors.. The front tweeter and the mid-range are on a crossover .. Left and Right 120mm rear deck speakers, I didn't change these, so im not sure how to swap for aftermarket. I'm assuming 5.25" will be able to fit into the recess there securley without much modding. The stock speakers held up nicelywith the power I was running to the from my JL 500/5 amp. They're not fragile. ----------------------------- Here is the best part now - It's a WIRING GUIDE for the factory head unit and amps. =0 my formatting got cleared to you can't read this as easily as before. =( it's still useful though. and i hope it helps. Poco más puedo decirte. Normalmente estos temas se ven bastante claros, pero es dificil encontrar información. De lo que te puse ahí, salen los conectores del botón: brown - GROUND violet/white - 12 volt switched (Head Unit power line) yellow/black - TRIGGER grey/red - illumination Y el pin del amplificador. 15 - yellow/black - from spatial sound button on dash Bueno, del pin 15, nada, ese se conecta al botón y punto, es de suponer que le mandará un +12v al amplificador y éste se pone en modo surround. Vale, lo que no tengo nada claro es el tema del botón, porque esas especificaciones no son de BMW, las ha puesto un forero en lenguaje coloquial no profesional y no sé a que se refiere exactamente. Vamos a verlo: brown - GROUND violet/white - 12 volt switched (Head Unit power line) yellow/black - TRIGGER grey/red - illumination El cable marrón a masa, negativo o GROUND, como quieras llamarlo, sin problema. Seguimos. El cable Violeta/Blanco pone "12 volt switched" que no sé a qué se refiere, si a 12V permanentes o 12V por contacto. Lo que te puedo decir es que en mi coche el botón del HK sin contacto NO funciona, y además, sin contacto no hay efecto surround, la radio arranca y funciona todo pero no hay surround. Así que asumiremos que son 12V pasando por contacto, bueno, de ser así no hay problema, en la radio tenemos todas las tensiones (-12, -12 perman., +12v contacto). Bien, después el Amarillo/Negro es del HK, así que nada, ese se conecta al PIN15 del ampli y ya está. Ahora viene otro: grey/red - illumination El último. Pone que "ilumination" y tiene que ir a la línea de +12V de iluminación, para iluminar el logotipo del altavoz que tiene el botón, de noche. Esa alimentación también está en la radio, pero te queda más cómodo cogerla del botón de al lado (DSC ó ASC) que tienes que tener. En fin, en otro momento seguiré mirando a ver si encuentro algo más para confirmar, pero lo que hay llega.. Del amplificador lo hay todo, pero de ese botón nada de nada. Donde sí tiene que estar es el manual de reequipamiento, pero cualquiera da con él. Yo lo haría así: brown - GROUND - A negativo -12V. violet/white - 12 volt switched (Head Unit power line) - A +12V por contacto. yellow/black - TRIGGER - A pin 15 de HK grey/red - illumination - Iluminación (+12V) Con eso debería ir. PD - Si quieres que el efecto surround funcione incluso sin contacto, sólo tienes que ponerle los +12V directos (lo tienes en la radio) y ya está, pero ya te digo, de serie, BMW lo pone al contacto, no sé por qué pero es así.
