El BMW M3 Touring parecía listo para la producción la primera vez que el fabricante de automóviles se burló de él. BMW ha tardado casi dos años en desarrollar la primera vagoneta M3 oficial, y es posible que la espera termine pronto. Un nuevo informe de BMWBlog sugiere que BMW podría revelar el nuevo M3 en junio.


BMWBlog no especifica la fuente de esta información sobre el debut del automóvil, pero apunta al próximo mes para la gran revelación del M3. Si esto es cierto, no es una gran sorpresa. BMW ha estado ansioso por mostrar el nuevo vagón en los últimos meses, revelando cositas aquí y allá sobre el modelo a través de varios teasers y videos. Todo lo que BMW tiene que hacer es revelarlo.

Si BMW se pierde el rumoreado debut en junio, sabemos que la nueva vagoneta debutará antes de fin de año. G81 M3 Touring Seen Live (+M4 CSL)! My Feedback From BMW Viewing Event


Hi guys,

As a reader of the G80 Forum, I wanted to share some insights I gained during a BMW Belgium/Luxembourg event yesterday evening to provide you with some information you might be interested in.

First of all: no, I don't have any photos of the Touring because we had to put the cell phones in a case (see picture with "for your eyes only" case). Giveaway was caviar but would definitely have preferred to take a picture). Oh boy, what a beauty!

What I can tell from memory:

- The thing looks monstrous, much much better than the videos and much much better than the G80, too in my view. Classic potential, reminds me of the potential cult factor of the Audi RS4 B5. The CSL was truly a side kick compared to the touring.
- It had ID8 but no carbon roof, and no sunroof either. Not sure if it will remain that way.
- It wasn't bright in the room and the tail lights were off, but I couldn't tell any difference vis à vis my G21. The CSL's are Oleds, at least that's how they looked to me.
- The M3 rear seat is the same as the one in the G21. The model on display had a black interior and the normal bucket seats. The seat/back surface was perforated, Alcantara on the sides and carbon on the rear. Incidentally, you are not allowed to strap luggage on to the non-existent rear seat of the CSL. It said so on the sticker... next to the luggage net. Don't ask...
- The M4 CSL had red badges, also in the seats, great! Was further equipped with the ID7. Ducktail also great, otherwise "chubby" for my taste but that's only me.
- The M3 sideskirts look razor sharp.
- Tires 275/35/19 front, 285/30/20 rear.

For the rest:

- The Jeff Koons BMW M850i is mehhhh, especially in the interior.
- The 7 series is great inside, just as bad on the outside as in the pictures. Somehow a mix between Hyundai and 2 series sedan. I've also never seen a car with sensors in the side skirts, the 7 series has 4 of them on each side. There is also a touch display in the door, how decadent is that?!
- The X7 LCI is not that ugly in live.
- According to Speech, the "50" (x5 m50i, for example) was omitted to not steal the "M - 50 years" show.

The world would probably be a better place if more petitions from Change.org would have a real impact on our society. Some petitions are more frivolous than others, but to a hardcore BMW fan, the one about the M3 Touring coming to the United States is entirely legitimate. We initially talked about it back in September 2020 when only a handful of people had signed it.


Fast forward to May 2022, the petition now has close to 50,000 supporters. At the moment of writing, 48,389 have signed it, begging BMW to bring the long-roof M3 to the US. The comments section is flooded with messages from enthusiasts saying they would place a deposit today if the M3 Touring were available in North America.



However, it’s not going to happen. Believed to break cover next month, the first-ever M version of the 3 Series Estate won’t cross the Atlantic. In November 2021, a BMW North America spokesperson told us they crunched the numbers and realized it would be too costly to homologate the car for the US. How’s so? The company would have to make changes to pass crash testing regulations since they’re different compared to European ones.



With the Sports Wagon not sold in the US, BMW would’ve had to spend a lot of money to homologate the M3 Touring. It’s not like the AMG C63 Estate and Audi RS4 Avant are sold in the US. However, the bigger E63 and RS6 are locally available in wagon form.


Likely arriving at the Goodwood Festival of Speed in June, the M3 Touring will come exclusively as a Competition model. BMW has hinted it will get xDrive and an automatic transmission. It should go on sale in Europe towards the end of 2022. The hotly anticipated G81 will have a short life cycle since it’ll be based on the M3 LCI. It’s going to be available for roughly three years.

BMW Switzerland's M3 Touring 'Reveal' - early look at G81 Touring



I got a last minute invitation to attend BMW Switzerland's M Town Event this afternoon/tonight where they would reveal a new M model. Of course it wasn't the M4 CSL. That had already happened. No, it was the M3 Touring. If you think that's not much of a reveal, you'd be right. We have already seen the back end and we already know what the front end will look like. But we cought a glimpse at the entire car as well as the new interior, or rather the new cinema, pardon, infotainment.

First of all: That back end is glorious, couldn't help it. They showed the car in the same Frozen Pure Grey we know from the YouTube videos and even though I'm not much of a frozen/matte guy I quite liked it. I think it looks even better than the saloon (not to mention the M4). The thing is, I'm still struggling with the other end but I have to admit, I want it.

Inside, I'm not sure I like the Mercedes-setup. There was nothing wrong with the instrument cluster and a separate screen with secondary infos. Let me rephrase that, the current one could be better but I don't feel like the screens themselves are off.

Apparently the Goodwood FOS will be the stage for the official reveal. Let's see if there is going to be a special colour for the Touring.

TL;DR: Saw the M3 Touring, loved the back end, didn't love the new infotainment-setup, still somehow want one.

Si un Seat Leon Fr ya casi anda por los 50k, imagino que estas joyas ya andaran cerca de los 150k

 

Igual hasta ponen allí el próximo M2,aunque sería igual ya mucho jej

 

Lo frutero es bello

 

Le sobra el pantallote del iDrive 8...

 

Que destrozo con lo bien que pinta el frutero.
Preferiría que el asistente de voz me hablase en lenguaje inclusivo a tener ese iPad estiaraooo.

 

En ese render el pantallon parece muy grande. Muy alto, mejor dicho.
En los vídeos que han salido del M2, que también lo lleva, parece tener menos altura.

Yo creo que BmW necesitará a ponerse al día en el interior.

Este coche tiene una estampa tremenda …hasta que lo ves de frente.
